| Cock Block’s corporate headquarters is located in the 1500 block of 16th st in downtown Denver. This location makes it very convenient to have after work cocktails in the Four Season’s EDGE bar. A few months ago, after ordering our 5th round of fuzzy tickle bombers, Phil showed up and was all fired up that he was going to have to miss our team training session the next day. He had tweaked his shoulder the day before working on his back double bicep pose for the Mr. Olympia which was in a few months. It wasn’t a big deal since poultry days were still a ways off and he’d just need to pull a couple three-a-days to cover his shortfall. He started drinking and once he got around eight cocktails deep the courage must have been mustered to inform the team that Gifted Athletics, his apparel company, wanted exclusive sponsorship rights to the team.
This was going to be a problem since we already had evergreen sponsorships with Bad Boy Nutrition, Cellucor, Muscletech, Hammer Strength Apparel, Gym Girl Apparel, Tortured Clothing Company and there was on average a 12 month cancellation notification clause in all of the contracts. Once he heard about the extent of all our commitments, Phil has never been one to pay attention in our quarterly marketing meetings; he started to get a little weepy. Phil was really cash poor at the moment due to some ill-advised investments in some salt free dining establishments around town. He needed the cash from the merchandise sale of a new line of Cock Block licensed apparel brought to you by Gifted Athletics to cover a margin call on some GoPro shorts. It was around this time that the bottles of Cabernets started coming out and we were able to start working the numbers. Long story short, Cock Block has a new exclusive sponsor this year and our merchandise booth will be set up next to the local’s tent starting June 6th. Come early, since we will sell out. |
