| Team Bio: | Chicken Pasties has been traveling to Poultry Days since 1996 (only missing 1 year due to a wedding of teammates), originally as a women’s team in the days of the women’s division, then the chicks of Nashville integrated with the men. However, the Chicken Pasty theme and name has remained with great individually made home-sewn jerseys, covering our chicken breasts. |
| Team History: | Since 1996, Chicken Pasties has arrived in Versailles as a competitive and spirited team. But starting in 2007, the team got several big additions, mostly from Nashville high-school alums now playing in college or recent graduates. And the results showed - we've made the A bracket each year, losing the eventual champs multiple times. In 2009, our only loss was to Team Canada (who won) in the quarters after leading at halftime. The 2013 edition will return the same basic team, many of whom played on 2010 & 2011 Open Nationals qualifier Tanasi plus several great women regulars from DeSoto, a women's Nationals qualifier in 2011. We can't wait for another year and hope to finally bring home the hardware. |
